Are you passionate about the arts and fundraising, keen to get some Board experience and want to join a collective of friendly and dedicated volunteers who are shaping the future of the sector?

We are looking for volunteers to join YAF as Board Members in the National Development team and in the Communications team, for the chance to be part of a pioneering and industry leading organisation.

Volunteering with YAF will provide a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills and boost your CV, while also making valuable contributions to the arts and cultural sector for your own professional development, your peers and the next generation.

We are looking for one/two Communications Board Members to join YAF, starting in early Spring 2023. This is a great opportunity to be part of a creative and proactive team working across all YAF’s output, helping shaping content plans and company-wide messaging.

So whether you are a social media wiz or want to simply want to expand your digital, marketing and fundraising skillset, we want to hear from you!

We are looking for one Regional Board Member, based outside of London, to join YAF’s National Development team starting in early Spring 2023.  This is a great opportunity to work as part of the National Development team to lead on creating a national database, develop partnerships with organisations in the regions, and host events for fundraisers based outside of London.

We welcome applications from all regions of the UK, although we are looking to increase the representation on our Board to cover the Southern regions and the Midlands.

  • A CV (no more than 2 pages A4) detailing your career so far, in your chosen format
  • A covering letter (1 page maximum) or short video (5 minutes maximum) or a voice recording (5 minutes maximum) that tells us for which post you are applying, how you meet the criteria required and why you want to be a part of YAF.

If you feel comfortable, we would be grateful if you were able to share any protected characteristics about yourself that you think we should know by filling in our Diversity Monitoring Form below and send it back to us with your application.

We will be using this information to guarantee interviews to those who are underrepresented in fundraising, including those who identify as Global majority and/or migrant, D/deaf and/or disabled, neurodiverse, LGBTQ+ or anyone who feels that they are in any other way under-represented within the fundraising landscape.
